I had this law office handle my Will originally with my husband.  He passed away a few months ago, so I had to complete everything on my own, which was quite overwhelming to say the least. My wife and I have worked with Brad Lewis, at Carpenter and Lewis PLLC, to prepare wills, powers of attorney (health and financial) and a living will.  We find Brad to very personable, knowledgeable and efficient.  His attention to detail is especially comforting to us.  He explains the options, the critical things to consider, and fully respects our choices.  His experience(s) helped us considerably in making decisions.  In particular, we feel very comfortable knowing that Brad would be the lawyer we and our children would consult and work with in the event of a death.  We have re-adjusted our wills as our children got older and plan to continue the evolution of our estate planning toward a trust for the minimum complications. Stephen Carpenter is an excellent, knowledgeable Attorney who specializes in family law issues such as trusts and wills. He is patient in determining  client needs and he will suggest and explain appropriate solutions. His office staff arranges resulting legal documents (originals and needed copies) in a well-organized notebook for the customer's use. We found Stephen Campbell to be a very capable and knowledgeable trust attorney. Being new to the area, we needed someone who could update our trust and set up properly for Tennessee law.  We came in with a list of questions and continued to have questions after the draft was prepared. He patiently answered all of them while making sure we understood the reasoning behind each issue. I typically don’t give reviews, but in this instance I feel compelled. Carpenter & Lewis explained and executed every step of the process concisely and with prudence. At every juncture they let me know exactly what they were doing, what I needed to do, and what was still to be done.Their fees were reasonable and fair. All expenses were clearly and accurately conveyed. There were no surprises. Carpenter & Lewis made a difficult situation as easy as possible. It’s rare that I feel like I got more than I paid for.
